Welcome the Kiss of Death

“Welcome the Kiss of Death” sounds ominous, but it’s a good thing, I promise. Kiss of Death is a chapter of the Romance Writers of America. Within the broad spectrum of romance writing, KoD is dedicated to mystery and suspense. If you write any kind of romantic mystery/suspense, whether it’s historical, paranormal, spiritual, contemporary, you name it!, KoD is the RWA chapter for you!

That aside, KoD is noteworthy because of the contest it hosts. The Daphne du Maurier Award for Excellence in Mystery/Suspense Contest has been held annually since 2012. Have you written a romantic mystery/suspense short story? Enter it! Have you published a mainstream mystery/suspense, something without romance? Enter it!

This year’s du Maurier Award contest opened Feb. 15. You have until March 15 to submit your entries.
